I overheard a tourist guide say that Rockefeller Center is the most expensive piece of real estate in the world…I love the art deco design. It reminds me of two of my favorite books, both by Ayn Rand, “The Fountainhead” and “Atlas Shrugged.” In fact, there is a statue outside of Atlas! It’s an impressive space, but I still love visiting different churches and feeling the presence of God within. Grand Central Station is so huge and always bustling with activity, and oddly enough my sister said that when it was first built it was considered “out in the boonies.” I can’t even imagine that! Libby and I aslo saw the Chrysler Building which is another cool building I thought this pic of these lily pads was cool too…kind of like a “Star Trek” episode!

While in New York, my friends Jeremy and Holly Shore let me stay in their beautiful home...

This is “The Helena, located in Manhattan on 11th and 57th streets. It’s a big blue modern building with views of the city to die for. I was so blessed to stay in this amazing building, but sadly, my friends Jeremy and Holly were’nt there as they were working in Alaska the same days I was in New York! Jeremy kept emphasizing that I had to go up on the roof. My idea of roof was, “dirty, windy functional place to store building supplies and the water tower” and was I found was an amazing rooftop patio with views of the city I had never seen outside of being a tourist at the Empire State Building! Here’s the roof at night: I woke up at 4:30am inadvertantly as I had turned the air conditioner to low before bed and I woke up with chattering teeth..so I thought, good time to shoot! Here’s the roof at sunrise: The roof is paneled with solar cells which make a really beutiful and modern design as seen here: and looking down the Hudson river I could see the Statue of Liberty! It’s a blessing to have good friends who are willing to let you stay at their place and even more so when it’s so nice! Thank you Jeremy and Holly! LOVE THOM

While on business in New York, I have been blessed to be able to spend quality time with my sister Libby. We spent the day running around New York and I will add many pics in the upcoming week of our explorations! (I’m going to bed now…we don’t walk this much in Los Angeles.) I have also been blessed to stay at my friends Jeremy and Holly Shore’s apartment in Manhattan, “The Helena.” The rooftop at night is insane! Take a look! LOVE THOM
I am visiting New York City for a few days and there’s alwasy something to shoot…here’s a few cool shots I did this afternoon once I got off the plane. My sister took me to Little Italy where they were celebrating some festival to Saint something-or-other…and of course there was food, the smell of food, the taste of food, oh, and some very bad taste. LOVE THOM
